The Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) joined the 121st anniversary of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on September 1, 2021 with the theme: “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes.”
This year’s anniversary of the Commission is a month long celebration, covering four (4) different activities per week such as: Linggo ng Lingkod Bayani (week 1); Linggo ng Paglilinang ng Yamang Tao (week 2); Linggo ng Malasakit (week 3); and Linggo ng Pasasalamat (week 4).
DOLE-NCR Regional and its six Field Offices participated in the first week activity, which included an online zumba and film showing with the latter held in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Both activities are open to all government officials and employees and their families, which runs from September 1 to 12, 2021.
The Anniversary of the Commission is currently being held in observance of the establishment of the Philippine Civil Service by virtue of Public Law No. 5 or an “An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands on 19 September 1900.”
